Rodolfo Pike
Rodolfo Pike is an Acute Care nurse practitioner working in a Heart Function clinic in St. John’s, NL Canada. He graduated from General Hospital school of nursing in 1993. He completed a bachelor’s and master’s degree of Nursing at Memorial University of NL and went on to complete the Acute Care NP program at University of Toronto. Over the course of his career, he has worked as critical care staff nurse and clinical educator in the cardiac department before moving to his current role as NP in a busy heart function clinic.
He currently sits on the Executive Board of Directors of the Canadian Heart Failure Society (CHFS) and is Co-Chair of the Nursing and Allied Health Council branch of the CHFS. He is secondary panelist on the Canadian Heart Failure Guidelines update. He has worked on many National initiatives with Heart and Stroke Canada including the National Heart Failure Action Plan, committee member for the development of the resource and service inventory (RASI) and was a part of the working group that developed the virtual cardiac rehabilitation toolkit. He speaks at local and national conferences on various heart failure related topics and has had his work published in peer review journals.
